Summer is not just about good weather and holidays. At Prologis España’s parks it is an opportunity to build ties and strengthen community feeling among users. This summer, the Prologis team wanted to surprise customers and employees with an enjoyable event, featuring healthy food and good company in an open-air garden linking the park with its surroundings before they leave for a well-deserved holiday.
Prologis sees healthy lifestyle as essential and a balanced diet as a key part of this. As part of its PARKlife™ philosophy, Prologis incorporates space for leisure and well-being around its logistics buildings where open-air activities can be held.
Users of the San Fernando de Henares, Coslada and Alcalá de Henares parks near Madrid, got together in a garden where they enjoyed a paella and good music, all in full compliance with the latest health and safety regulations. More than 250 people attended and hailed the initiative, one of the many and varied events offered under the PARKlife™ programme.
Meanwhile, around 800 workers at the Sant Boi de Llobregat and La Granada del Penedès parks enjoyed a delicious and healthy breakfast. It was all smiles at the Barcelona centres when users discovered the varied menu, which came with a card wishing them a happy summer. This welcome break from work was a chance to recharge batteries, foster links between different companies and celebrate the arrival of summer.
Miguel Cogolludo, Real Estate & Customer Experience Manager of Prologis Spain, shared his thoughts on the successful initiative: “The well-being of our customers and their workers is a key issue for Prologis. It begins with the design of our parks and gains momentum with every event we hold as part of our PARKlife™ philosophy. Customer feedback was very positive. They were delighted with this type of event. We achieved our aim of putting the spotlight on healthy eating while promoting leisure and community-building activities and strengthening bonds and friendships in our facilities.”
Nor was this the only summer project. The importance of physical exercise is another strand of Prologis’s PARKlife™ message. As part of the sports programme, users of the park in San Fernando (Madrid) played a paddle tennis competition on the in-park courts. Workers from five companies took part in a friendly league. As we leave the summer behind, leisure and welfare remain a priority in Prologis parks and we continue to promote a healthy mind-body balance that adds value and attracts and retains talent for the users of our logistics spaces.
